At the same time, as a result of a lot of bad decisions we have most of our population and economy in the south of England. This means that all choices between the needs of these two are much more difficult than in other countries.

As to fracking, the Americans are now starting to loosen up their export rules and facilities – initially with an eye westwards to Asia, but Europe will benefit soon. That will markedly increase the supply and decrease the cost of oil and gas. It's hard to see exploitation in the UK being viable in such a market environment.Mark O'Sullivannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8170718846507476773.post-37260714450349424022014-01-16T08:05:53.640+00:002014-01-16T08:05:53.640+00:00Localism will never work.Localism will never work.Evan Owen - Snowdoniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12228099681098123960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8170718846507476773.post-8438306005619901612014-01-15T13:08:23.482+00:002014-01-15T13:08:23.482+00:00It seems unfair to pay people who just happen to l...It seems unfair to pay people who just happen to live where fracking will be taking place IMHO.wendynoreply@blogger.com
